The course provides an in depth investigation into the Software Engineering Institute's (SEI) Software Capability Maturity Model (CMM) appraisal process. Emphasis is placed on the preparation of personnel to successfully answer assessor questions and understand the underlying rationale and objectives of the appraisal process. The course addresses SEI Software CMM Level 2 and Level 3 appraisals and evaluations. The roles of Functional Area Representatives (FARs), project managers and leads, and senior management are discussed in detail and each participant in the appraisal is asked actual assessor questions. Who Should Attend?: This course is designed for software professionals at all levels as well as senior management who will be participants in a SEI Standard CMMI ® Appraisal Method for Process Improvement (SCAMPI SM ) . Course Instructor(s): Two instructors are provided with at least three (3) years software process improvement and actual appraisal participation experience. Course Size: Maximum of twenty (20) participants.
