PYXIS Systems International, Inc. has experience in providing support for SCAMPIs (Standard CMMI® Appraisal Method for Process Improvement), internal evaluations, Software Capability Evaluation (SCE), and CMM-Based Appraisal - Internal Process Improvement (CBA-IPI). Each of these evaluation / appraisal methods has its place as is elaborated below. Standard CMMI^® Appraisal Method for Process Improvement (SCAMPI)^SM

The appraisal methods available with the CMMI® expand the manner a company may determine what its capabilities are. At the lowest level there is a Class C appraisal that focuses on the documents of the company (both organizational and projects).The Class B includes document reviews as well as interviews to determine institutionalization.Finally, there is the SCAMPI that views the capability of the company from a perspective of verification of the company’s self-awareness of their process capability.PYXIS Systems International, Inc. can assist your company in a most cost effective and efficient manner with any of these appraisals of your company’s capabilities.

Internal Evaluations

PYXIS Systems International, Inc. has the experience to tailor an internal evaluation to meet your company's needs. An internal evaluation is often the most cost-effective way to quickly determine the organization's status relative to the SEI CMM^® for software and/or ISO 9001-2000. In both areas, PYXIS Systems International, Inc. is knowledgeable and has performed such internal evaluations. Software Capability Evaluation (SCE) SCEs are provided by PYXIS Systems International, Inc. A SCE is a method for evaluating the software process of a supplier organization to gain insight into its process capability. SCE results support senior management decision-making and help obtain accurate results relative to a reference model. The status of the organization's existing process strengths, weaknesses, and improvement activities helps make better business decisions. SCEs identify risks inherent in an organization's software processes that may inhibit achievement of objectives. They measures the organization's commitment to process improvement. The software process capability of an organization provides one means of predicting the most likely outcomes of the next software project. Many Government agencies use the SCE to evaluate the capability of their potential suppliers.

The CBA-IPI focuses on process capability and process improvement framework emphasizing:
